Tidenham Landshare, Hanley Court Business Centre, Tidenham

Working with local farmer Lyndon Edwards, Transition Chepstow has helped to start ‘Tidenham Landshare’. Transition Chepstow has its own community veg and fruit growing plot and we are keen to get more local people involved with using it.  So maybe you’ve always wanted to grow your own fruit and veg but never had the space or were worried about taking on a whole allotment plot?

On the Transition Chepstow plot, you can swap your time for fresh fruit and veg (grown without chemicals!).

This event is a working party to help prepare the site for next years growing.  Feel free to join us for an hour or two to help out, meet other likeminded individuals and share your ideas for the plot.

Tidenham Landshare is situated in the field on the south side (Chepstow side) of Hanley Court on the A48, 1 mile outside of Tutshill.

Mr Edwards, who farms at Severndale Farm and Hanley Court in Tidenham, said: “This new workspace will not only help local businesses expand but it will give them the support they need. Without the substantial investment from Rural Renaissance, which contributes about a third towards the total costs, the project would never have happened.”

The official opening took place between 11am – 12 noon on Friday 30th May, whilst the centre was open for viewing’s between 11am – 2pm.  Local business were invited to view  Hanley Court, particularly those interested in securing a permanent home for their business or people making their first move from a home office environment to commercial premises.
“As we have 14 offices available, we’re hoping to encourage the growth of quite a self-supporting business community where they can benefit from each other’s expertise and perhaps share common resources.
“This all means local people can build their businesses in their community, cutting down on the need to travel to work and creating more jobs locally.”
